Prioritizing Indexing Pinterest Pins

Are you wondering where your data is within our tool? Let us help you understand the data you are (or aren't) seeing.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The data we show you is based on several factors.

First, it's important to understand that Pinterest adds over a billion new pin URLs to its platform every week.

Having us index all of those pins without charging users a cost is just something we can't keep up with. Enter Pin Pro versus Pin Plus.

We have to prioritize which pins we store in PinClicks. We do that based on rank tracking in the search tracker.

We're scanning the search results for keywords that PinClicks users want to track for rankings or changes to search suggestions. We also pick up new pin URLs from Pin Plus users who add accounts to track.

What gets the highest priority is when PinClicks users add accounts under 'My Accounts'.

We prioritize indexing new pins based on visibility in search results, pins that rank within the top 20 on interest idea pages, and what Pin Plus users are tracking.

Does this mean you won't see data if you're only a Pin Pro user? Absolutely not. You will still see data; it will just be limited.

It is very resource-intensive to keep indexing new pins. So ask yourself, is it that important to see data for all of your pins?

If the answer is yes, then you should consider upgrading to our Pin Plus plan. Doing so will also ensure we will be refreshing your data every 30 days. πŸ˜‰
